The next morning my girls drop me off back at home with a stomach full of coffee and Advil and a head full of optional fake stories to tell Ken about what happened last night.

He’s already waiting to greet me at the front door as I walk inside, wrapping his arms around me in a warm bear hug. He smells pleasant and familiar.

“How was it, baby?” Ken asks. “Any hot girl-on-girl action go down?”

I freeze for a moment, then realize that he’s joking and quickly fake a laugh.

“What kind of lady do you think I am?” I ask him, technically avoiding a lie.

Ken pulls back and looks me in the eyes. “The kind of lady that I want to marry.”

I hug him again, tighter this time. “About that girl-on-girl action.” I finally say, “There’s a few things I want to talk about adding to our sex life.”
